Depression & Trauma

Depression is a mental disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It can interfere with your ability to study, sleep, eat, and enjoy activities you once enjoyed. Depression is more than just feeling “down in the dumps” or “blue” for a few days. It can be a serious mental health condition that requires treatment.

A traumatic event is a frightening, dangerous, or violent event that poses bodily or psychological harm or is a threat to a student’s life or a loved one. You may or may not experience a situation as traumatic.

Below is some information to help you if you are experiencing depression or trauma. As always, please reach out to your counselors for more support.
