Our drama students had the opportunity to learn a marbling painting technique from Rita Warner, a local community member and volunteer artist from the Pickens Arts and Cultural Association. They were then able to take the technique and apply it to some set pieces for the upcoming PJHS spring musical production of Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr.

Come see their hard work in action on April 30th, May 1st, May 2nd in the PJHS auditorium.

Students in Mrs. Pack's Honors Science class were fortunate enough to hear a former student speak about radiation. Bryce Ware is a Junior at Vanderbilt University studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. He researches how radiation in space damages satellite electronics and how to best perform radiation tests. In addition, he is associate tech crew with Vanderbilt's semiconductor fabrication cleanroom. This summer he will be in Geneva, Switzerland at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. CERN is home to the Large Hadron Collider, the largest experimental project in the world. There he will be investigating radiation testing in their facilities.
