Yesterday, our PREP students were hard at work helping create shirts for PJHS! Our students helped with preparing the designs, pressing, checking, and organizing each shirt. They take great pride in their work, and they love helping serve Dragon Nation.

These projects give our students meaningful, hands-on experience while helping them develop valuable workplace skills such as teamwork, attention to detail, quality control, and responsibility. We are so proud of their hard work and thankful to PJHS and Coach Raymond for supporting our students and giving them the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine!

Pickens Junior Leadership Field Trip 🏌️‍♂️
Yesterday, the Pickens Junior Leadership class had an amazing opportunity to visit East Lake Golf Club for a valuable leadership experience. This trip would not have been possible without the support of so many people!

A special thank-you to Dr. Petti, Mr. Cronic, Coach Duncan, Coach Stout, Coach Whitmore, Tracey Hulsey, Ms. Coker, Todd Dobson, and the PGA for investing in our students and helping make this experience possible.

We are especially grateful to the PGA for partnering with Coach Duncan to create an experience that teaches our young leaders important lessons about leadership, opportunity, character, and perseverance.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in and support the Pickens Junior Leadership Program! We are proud of our students and the leaders they are becoming.

Introducing the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System The Pickens County School District is committed to maintaining a safe learning environment for all students and staff. Through the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS) from Sandy Hook Promise, students, staff, and families can confidentially report safety concerns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The program teaches students how to recognize warning signs, tell a trusted adult, or submit an anonymous report through the hotline, mobile app, or website. Reports can include threats of violence, bullying, harassment, concerning social media posts, self-harm, substance abuse, weapons concerns, or any other troubling behavior. By speaking up when something doesn't seem right, our school community can help prevent incidents before they occur and ensure that individuals receive the support they need. For more information, please visit our website at https://www.pickens.k12.ga.us/o/pcs/page/anonymous-reporting-system

We are proud to announce that Pickens Junior High School is a 2025-2026 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on their campus.
The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this prestigious honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta club. This year 6,103 clubs across the country received this award.
In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”
"Our students have worked extremely hard this year, volunteering in the community and building a Beta Club that will endure for years to come. Thank you to all involved for your dedication!"

Ms. Perritt's Business/Computer Science students finished out the school year by creating business plans, then using the plans to create "Shark Tank" simulations with their classmates being the panelists.
